== Appearance ==
Vihesaro is quite a bit above average, standing at 6’0 ''(183 cm)'' and weighing about 157 lbs ''(71 kg)''. A lot of her appearance varies based on her whims, and she often changes her size as she wishes, but she has an appearance she ''typically'' wears. Her hair is generally an ashen black, and her skin is quite pale. Most of her body is usually hidden, adorned with a black, leather-like cloak with gold and green trim along the edges of the hood and cuffs of the sleeves. Underneath, she wears several layers, as well as jewelry she herself has created with her Carnomancy, designed to look like gold.

With her face being what is seen the most, even if mostly hidden in the generally dark environment of a Kiraak, she typically adorns tattoos and ‘makeup’ designed to be intimidating to some degree, with black and blood-red paint around her eyes, and black paint on her lips. To her, most importantly, scars line her face extending from the corner of her lips to about the end of her jawbone, marked with stitch-like paint, a memory of who she once was as a slave to the Daeva Empire and proof she has grown past that.

Vihesaro Koratsajaluli, simply known as "Via", was born during the reign of the Daeva Empire, a half-Daeva child who was ostracized by the tyrannical empire for her impure lineage. Turned into a slave due to her impure blood, with the reason claimed to be “for the shame she would bring to the nobility of the Daeva Empire”, Via’s life was miserable at best.

From the age of six years old up until she was twenty-one, Via endured the hardship of slavery while doing all she could to face against her oppressors - and despite her rather common disobedience, when she did do what she was told, she worked with ruthless efficiency that put her capabilities above others of her status. She was put in charge of a small group of slaves so their work would be more efficient, and she was strict.

When Ion first came and brought freedom to the slaves of the Daeva Empire, Via was one of the first who stood against them, with her companions - the other slaves she was tasked with training - following beside her. She fought in the great war that followed, the revolution and explosion of power that became the religion of the Nalkä. Via became a close adherent to the teachings of the Grand Karcist, alongside being an acolyte of the mysterious Klavigar Saarn. At first, she was simply another practitioner, fighting against the Daeva alongside her small - and slowly shrinking - group of companions.

As time went by, and the Kalmaktama Empire grew more and more powerful, the work Via did became less direct in opposition of the Daevites and more focused on ensuring that the Nälkä around her adhered to the will of Ion. She was strict, but ultimately fair and forgiving, and despite the order she maintained, Via was kind - and a paragon of what a true Nälkän should be as she sought the dream of Ikunaan. As her capabilities and influence grew, eventually Via became one of the original Karcists of the Kalmaktama Empire, establishing the Order of the Red Dream, an expansive sect dedicated to maintaining Nälkä’s order and safety, as well as ensuring that those who strayed from the light of Ion saw judgement, retribution, and redemption.

As the Kalmaktama Empire had grown more peaceful, and her will had been proven to her companions in faith as true and faithful to Nälkä, Via became more and more engrossed in the more mystical arts and practices that Nälkä had grown to use, and became one of the many disciples studying these arts. Unfortunately for her, she was thrown through the wringer once again as her own studying led to her being thrust into the same world as Akisa and her companions, where she quickly stepped into establishing order amongst the Nälkäns who had been stranded.

While things were peaceful on Nerivia - the world she had been thrown into - it was a universal truth that peace never lasts. Via’s steeled resolve from her experience fighting in the original war led her to becoming the voice of order and reason across war and peace alike.

== Appearance: ==
Vera is of average height and build, standing about 5’8 and weighing in at 120lbs. The fringes of her hair are a scarlet red, which fade into a black the closer it gets to the roots. From her head sprouts four horns. Two curl inwards, and have the same red-tip as her hair. The other set are black and sprout out and forwards. She adorns this set with Daevite jewelry of her past life. She wears very large circular glasses, even if she does not need them, because she thinks they are cute. Her skin is a pale white, and her sclera are almost completely red, with white irises and red pupils. She has goat ears and a goat tail. She is not muscular in the slightest..

For normal wear, she is seen wearing a modest brown cloak draped over her oligarchy robes. The brown cloak is very tattered from a lot of wear and tear after years of non-stop usage, both in Adytum and in Nerivia. She wears this cloak almost daily, as it is a very good windbreaker and keeps the sand out. If she is needed for formal wear, she will ditch the cloak and only go in her Oligarchy robes, which are almost pristine red robes wrapped carefully and precisely, held together with a pink-hued sash and a red tweed-rope. She has a collection of accessories she’s collected in the dunes of Nerivia, the most prominent of which being an ornate iron cross that she wears.

== History: ==
Vera was born some time during the Daevite Empire, during the very beginnings of Ion’s rebellion, and was put into a scribe position for one of their many grand libraries. It was here that she studied the years of oppression that the Daevites had pressed upon her people, which only made her rage fester for them more and more. She bided her time and waited, studying basic magic in her slave barracks during the very rare moments of privacy. It wasn’t until the city went under siege by the Nalkan armies that she was able to escape with armfulls of tomes on thaumaturgy.

During the duration of the wars, she was placed firmly in the backlines studying new forms of carnomancy and other generic thaumaturgy to supplement the frontline fighters and other such soldiers as they tore through the Daevite forces. By the time the rebellion had ended, she had become a learned magician and a Solomonari.

Vera was one of the scholars assigned to the studies of The Ways and how they were able to function, and volunteered herself to be one of the first groups through. Of course, this ended in a slight miscalculation, and she along with the rest of Akisa’s peoples were stranded on Nerivia. It didn’t bother the Librarian in the slightest, it was a welcome sight to teach fresh minds who were eager to learn the ways of the Nalkan.

Of course, peace never lasts on Nerivia.

The Librarian was left with abject horror, awe, and a morbid fascination as the viral bomb was dropped onto the Nerivian landscape, turning it from its once-lush forests and beautiful paradise, to the now-barren desert landscape that it is now. All the life that had flourished, wiped out in that one instant. It’s become the Librarian’s duty now to continue the documentation of the Kalmaktama Empire as it’s seen on Nerivia, and to study the ruins the Natives had left in a desperate attempt to find some sort of counter measure, or other such tool that could be used on the Daevites to fully drive them out once and for all.

Wearing standard Deathless Legion kit, ditching their helmet and letting their hair flow. Their hair was an albino white and its texture was wavy, falling down an inch past his ribcage. He sectioned off a small rectangle of his hair closest to his forehead as bangs, usually a little unkempt falling below the eyebrows, hiding a round forehead beneath their veil. When Tsaba has the time, their bangs are cut two inches above their eyebrows, which are moderately thick, about the width of their small, pencil thin fingers. Standing at about 5’10, Tsaba is physically fit but has grown slim over his time serving as a quartermaster/logistics officer for the Hunters Black Lodge.

Born into Daevite slavery, Tsaba was fortunate to spend most of his time in his home village as a horse tender at the tavern when he was a child, but once his body had grown to be exploited for more taxing work, the Daev didn’t wait. Soon after he turned 14 he was sold off to a slave caravan, days upon days upon days had passed, walking through village after village after village his caravan soon passed trails with another, and then he was sold. And then he walked through it all again. But, on his way from caravan to caravan he picked up on things. Rumors of revolt, of freedom, but before these dreams could be realized he was sold off to a Hordeling officer. The officer was quite large, a strange blend of fat and working muscle, on top of his stout height, that could easily be mistaken for any other slave trader. Tsaba walked with the hordelings on their way to the camp they were settled in, and was brought to the officers tent with an audience of two other, comparatively, much more imposing guards.

Tsaba would be taught how to read and write for the Officer, for what little his body spoke of what he did, it appeared that even reading and writing was too bothersome.

So Tsaba learned to read and write. And then learned how to keep bellies fed, when to put food in bellies before a march, how to source water, and how to wage war.

As Tsaba learned, he also learned about his camp. When the sentries swapped shifts, when the Officer went to bed, where all the gaps between the tents were that he could slip through.

So he took his quill and his inkwell to the bed of the Officer, pouring ink in his agape mouth. When the Officer woke up, sputtering and choking, Tsaba took his quill and stabbed it into his throat. The quill pierced the skin, but broke off before it could go any deeper. The gurgling of his enslaver was starting to get loud, so he slipped out of camp as the guards started to wake.

And then for the first time in his life he ran.

He ran until the muscle fibers in his leg locked up, until the taste of the cold night air turned to that of metal. And then he heard the horns.

Tsaba was saved by a party of Revolters, following the stories of a man named Ion that they heard through rumour. A man who had stumbled upon a great power, and was using it to free every slave and destroy the daeva. And so he joined them.

When the Daevites were crushed under the boot of the Nalkan people, the period of peace and establishment of the Kalmaktama was almost beautiful. The flesh…was jarring. Seeing living buildings was hard to stomach at first, but he had been helped to see the beauty in it all. Life within life, living in harmony within eachother. Creations built to serve creations built to serve creations, by creations. There was a chance to live a life that nobody could have imagined. Life with work, but a greater freedom.

But they had gotten greedy.

The Mekhanites came and Tsaba answered the call. And so our empire fell, and we were taken from our home and placed upon Nerivia. Then the Daeva returned. And they stripped the flesh of the planet away and all the life that had enjoyed it.

And then he met Sukanta-Nojta. With a promise of a power to bring back the empire we had called Deathless. To grant Deathlessness to its subjects. To use the fallen as fuel for the future. So he learned his teachings as his apprentice. They would learn to make weapons of war that their brethren could not. Held back by superstitions of morality, they would seek the power that the Others could not touch and warm that power in protection of the Nalka, a protection they are too afraid to use.

As Nojta’s second, his apprentice, he would need to source him bodies.

Of course, Tsaba had the skill. He could feed an army, he could keep it marching for weeks with rationing so stretched the bread would be thin enough to see through, and filling enough to siege a city. So he would become the handler of all things material. Especially flesh for his master. His mentor.

== Appearance: ==
Standing at a broad 6 '2, Sukanta-Nojta resembles a human only by their silhouette, and even then just barely. Decades of mingling with bodies in an effort to create the perfect warrior, in mimicry of the Karcist’s personal Halkost. Alongside his pursuits in a field of his master’s direct invention, he has retooled the few successes to alter his own body. The first to go was his skin, replaced with a dark, leathery, jerky like material. Then his eyes, glowing a sickly fluorescent green hue, with a third sitting atop his forehead. Then came the armor, beautifully woven between layers and layers of flesh across his body. The bone armor covered his chest and belly, and fully embraced his back and spine. Gauntlets of bone, with only three fingers adorned his hands, as well as sabatons of fluted bone pointing downwards just below the ankle. The sabatons had three separate digits for his claw-like feet. His neck is supported by fluted bone plate, as well as to support a large, open faced helmet. The helmet protects his jaw, but leaves his face, eyes, and a considerable amount of his forehead visible. Flowing from the back of the head, two thick, large horns spread out from side to side as a part of the helmet covering Sukanta’s wingspan.

Where the weaving of armor leaves bare flesh exposed, pieces of robes dangle delicately from the underside of the bone armor. Softly woven and carefully embroidered with sigils of The Deathless, as well as a…Worm. Slithering its way around the segmented robes.

== History: ==
Sukanta-Nojta was born into a relative period of stability under the Kalmaktama, as the last of the Daevites were being hunted and purged. As a child he was left orphaned, and while looked out for by his community, he had a hunger for more than just living, or fighting. He wanted to Know, he wanted to be like The Sorcerer King, His Progeny. To know the magic they did, to wield the power they did. And so when he had time he explored his little village. He’d walk aimlessly among the plains and hills in search of something, anything. Until he found a billow of smoke in the morning over a hill he’d explored every corner of. He crept up over the hill, and he found a man. A frail, old man sitting next to the fire, preparing breakfast. Sukanta had never seen strangers before, not outside of the village at least, so he felt obligated to introduce himself.

The Old Man quickly became his mentor, and he taught him the ways of flesh crafting. Carnomancy, and how to use it to prolong your life and others. And even bring some back. It wasn’t long before Sukanta began growing to be a young man, and as he grew so did his desire for knowledge. The surety of forever was only so invigorating to practice on himself, creating docile ravens of flesh and smaller, stupider, and chubbier versions of himself grew boring. Learning how to fight with his craft was fun for a time, but it never satiated his deep hunger. Until one day they moved to a city, to the Old Man's laboratory. The first thing Sukanta noticed was the sickly sweet smell of death. The fumes cleansed his nose and singed his eyes, as acid spurred up his throat to protect his enamel from what was coming. The mess wasn’t hard to clean, the floors of the Laboratory had seen worse than what Sukanta could have possibly eaten earlier that day. But now, he knew his desires for knowledge would be satiated. For a time.

In the rest of his time under The Old Man, he spent his days robbing graves. Avoiding town militias, hiding in sewers and scum just for the potential that another body would have what they’d need to progress their study, their school, all by their lonesome. Sukanta became proficient at dissecting people. He familiarized himself with anatomy he had never learned before now, proud to be on the forefront of knowing. But his Old Man had found something greater. A tomb he had bought off of an illicit caravan. The merchant he had purchased it from professed that it would teach one to raise the dead without the mindnumbing hand stitching strands of muscle fibers together. Sukanta was delighted to know more, blinded by his desire to know more, he begged his teacher to show him the book, and when he did he took it from his hands and gidley skipped through the table of contents and flipped to a random page.

The text emitted a green hue, reflecting in Sukanta's eyes, before overtaking their color. Before he had even recognized what he was doing, that he was doing anything, he was already chanting in a tongue he’d never known, raising his hand towards his mentor. By the time the book had gifted him his own freedom, his master was gone. All that remained was a worm. He crouched before it and picked it off the floor, gazing at it quizzically. Before it spurred wings and shot up his nose, and nested in his brain. It spoke; “And now our contract begins. You will feed me with knowledge, and I will grant you powers as mine grow. If I starve, we will both perish.”

And so Sukanta moved to the one thing he didn’t know. The world had grown unkind to the Kalmaktama, so he enlisted with the local Deathless Legion, and as fate would have it it would be Fekohar’s.

In the time of peace on a Nerivia untouched by the daevites, Sukanta hid what he was. And when the Daeva came, he began his transformation. Becoming less and less human as more and more bodies came in to practice his forbidden study, he enriched himself as well as his projects. His Halkost. By the time the wicked Daevite sorcery stripped Nerivia of all life, he had become unrecognizable. Alien. And so he continued his study as far away from prying eyes as possible. Lurking within the bowels of the Kiraak, reliant on his Second to bring him what he needs to continue The Work. In tandem with the guidance and wisdom of The Worm.

Nullity is a multi-bodied collective, meaning their bodies range in appearances from young to old, gender and species. Primarily they are made up of Nalkan Humans and a few mixed blood Daeva. Most notably are the three main bodies of Nullity who are visibly children; Prime, who is a human boy with black hair and brown eyes.

The individuals who make up Nullity were all slaves purchased by a Daeva alchemist. She had a hundred slaves working fields of useful herbs. A section of the slaves attempted to stage a breakout, however most were caught and dragged back. Among them, the boy who would later become the face of Nullity as ‘Prime’ was the only one seemingly spared from retribution for this. All of the captured slaves who hadn’t died from their wounds had been subjected to having their eyes removed and placed under an experimental blood ritual to psychically link them all together. They now shared a bond that linked each other’s pain together but more importantly, they could see through the eyes of the boy, Prime.

Prime’s new job was to stand overlooking the fields to allow the other slaves to perform their work. Most of them learned to work blind overtime when Prime had to walk over to provide visuals to troubleshoot some issue. This new bond was considered a success by the Daeva alchemist.

Over time, a young Daeva boy would sometimes interact with Prime. He was known to be the Alchemist’s son, a child which she utterly loathed and kept hidden from public eye out of shame for him being born a male. However, whatever the case, he hadn’t been killed, only kept secret. His job was to sometimes bring water and food out to the fields for the slaves.

One day, the bonded group was dragged back for further experiments. There was growing interest in applying a similar technique to allow soldiers to have telepathic communications and thoughts amongst each other.

Akisa is an androgynous individual who stands at 173cm and weighs 65kg. She hides a sleeper build behind several layers of ceremonial robes and a cloak. Her black hair is cut short in layers stopping at her shoulders. She has silver eyes and reddish tan skin. She has several scars on her arms and torso from battles past and Nalkan tattoos on her back.

Akisa is a troubled spirit, still bearing the scars from a hundred years ago where she funneled her hatred into a weapon as one of the many outstretched claws of rebellion. Despite surviving long enough to live during the early golden years of the Kalmaktama Empire, she left this deep seeded hatred unresolved, electing to bury it and distract herself with more work. For example, her eagerness to lead an expedition into The Ways to search for other realms to explore and learn about.

She is eager to make herself useful where she can be, caring little for any consequences that may befall her. However, she cares deeply for the Nalka and would do anything to keep them safe. Big decisions where she may be forced to risk any Nalka weigh heavily on her, sometimes to the point where in anxiety, she will hesitate on making hard calls.

Akisa quietly resents her mixed blood heritage and holds internalized misogyny from her childhood as a Daeva slave. She subconsciously associates her more negative characteristics of hate and violence with her Daeva heritage and womanhood, as she understood from experiencing the Daeva society and its treatment of her. Akisa thinks to a certain level that partly from her blood, but also from an ‘irreversible personality’ that she is twisted by the Daeva mentality in such a way that makes her ‘evil’.

As such, Akisa has a difficult time accepting any form of praise or generosity. She is awkward with intimate situations of friendliness and kindness. One of her healthiest relationships despite not seeing eye to eye, was with the late Karcist Fekohar.

Akisa was a young slave during the earliest years of Ion’s rebellion. Akisa was liberated during the earlier period of the rebellion from a textile mill. She was eager to join the rebellion, but was forced to wait until she became a teenager to fight. Once she joined the fight, she quickly gathered renown for killing a Daeva Matriarch and helping capture a city at the age of 16. Akisa was well known for her physical prowess.

However, despite the impressive feat, it seemed to have rattled Akisa into taking a drastic shift in identity over the following 2 years. Their fleshcrafting talent was used on themselves to take on a more masculine form and role in society. Akisa became recognized as a Karcist at the age of 19. Akisa pulled away from involvement in combat as the rebellion began to quiet down and the new Nalkan territories were being established.

As the Kalmaktama were getting their feet on the ground, more avenues beyond their humble planet were becoming known to them. Experiments and research were being conducted to travel off-world via The Ways. Akisa, in hopes of distancing himself from his ghosts, led an expedition through The Ways. However, the expedition overshot their destination, slipping out of their cycle and becoming stranded on Nerivia.

However, despite the circumstances, the Nalka were kindly welcomed by the natives of Nerivia. Akisa had a difficult time adjusting at first, but found a glimmer of peace in teaching Carnomancy to the natives. This peace wavered first upon discovering that Akisa and the other Kalmaktama were not aging.

That peace finally broke when the Daeva returned.

There were no tears, no fury when Nerivia burned. Deep in Akisa’s heart, this is what they had always expected from the Daeva. But still, quietly in the back of Akisa’s mind there was grief in being proven right yet again.

She could not think, for she had lost a part of her mind. Quite literally as the Vatula danced in their quiet chaos treating her, ordering around others as the Solomonari whispered magic near her face… Or at least, that’s a part of what she could recall.

Her memory was splotchy ever since those figures clad in cloaks and golden masks lifted her and whisked her away from the brink of death… The next was the chaos, questions thrown at her at every angle, with few words she could manage to throw back… She could recall someone coming to her once all had calmed down, where everyone didn’t have to worry about her imminent death. Talking to her about receiving a great honour, a special gift. Plans for a new eye, one gifted with special capabilities…

Yet, by the sounds of it, those plans seemed to have involved getting rid of at least one of the two eyes she had. A part of her wondered why not put it into the new space within the centre of her skull, there was certainly enough space before! Unless the healers had patched it up enough that wasn’t a viable option anymore… And besides, did she *really* want three eyes?

She sucked air through her teeth while she squeezed her eyes to the wave of pain that echoed in her damaged skull, yet it amused her to try and think, to ponder even when her mind throbbed. She should have been dead three times over, perhaps even more! And still, that rainy night had luck on her side, way too much luck. She couldn’t imagine the horrors of what could have happened with the number of enemies that clanked and scraped and killed without mercy. She had to watch their brutality from afar, the fire, the shouted last orders before being turned into mist, the skull crushing, the pops of gunfire.

She sat propped now and listened quietly to the one Vatula still around somewhere within these walls. Because the silence made her own ears ring otherwise. She truly felt she should be dead. She didn’t believe she was worthy of the new eye, The Eye of The All-Seeing. Just because she managed to out live her team, eleven to two. And she had no idea what happened to the second guy, another Vatula, other than he was still alive… And at least he was able to do what he was tasked with, grab the high value item and get out. She? All she was able to do was shoot at that *beast* and *miss* before shots were fired her way. One barely grazed her cheek, and the other…?

There was more effort in attempting to lift her arm than usual, all the adrenaline and rush had left hours ago, which left her body weak, almost unresponsive with how *tired* she was. Those who had healed her had done well but had warned her not to push herself too much for awhile in case of… something. She couldn’t remember. But she did know they had solemnly told her that there would be a scar, her face forever changed from now on.

The effort she exuded caused a pained grunt to escape her, one of the few sounds she could make other than some caveman speech that had become her default during the chaos of questions when she had been brought in. The sound startled the Vatula to her side, gently trying to assess what she wanted or needed. And the Vulture grunted some more, trying to painfully connect words within her brain to her mouth, lips and tongue. Till she had managed to speak two words in a whisper, “F-feel… Scar…?”

And with a quiet nod, the Vatula lifted her arm up for her ever so slightly, just enough for Saknisu to be able to lift and guide her own limb to her head. To feel what treatments had been done to her so far. She found her wound still stung under the bandages placed there, which made her consider what she looked like.

What did her state look like? Did she look as haggled as she felt? What of her new face? A face of someone who almost shook the Reapers hand, yet the Reaper was the one who turned away. Bemused to see what would happen if he didn’t bother to take her just yet, encouraging her survival. And, well, based on what she could feel and what she was told, it was a wicked scar so far. An actual indent into her own head, yet it no longer allowed air to breathe freely to the slim space between the two hemispheres of her own brain. Which again, she recited the only reason she was still alive was pure, dumb, *stupid*, luck. And kindly enough, the bullet didn’t punch through her brainstem. She assumed it got stuck in her head, she had been at a distance after all upon that dune, or maybe it did punch through... She couldn't tell yet. The pain made her doubt, throbbing into her eyes now.

Satisfied with that, she whispered a quiet “thank” and lowered her own arm, making a dismissing grunt to when the Vatula asked if she needed anything else.

And with that, she continued to ponder, and think, in a bemused and confused manner that reflected on her face. Recalling the moment she awoke, bullet in head, and finding doom looming mere moments away that her only delusional thought was to resort to digging. Where she dug what she had thought to be her own grave. Hearing only her own rushing blood, her scarce breath and the vibration of machines making their last assumed rounds for stragglers like her. And who knows what else happened as she laid buried in the sand for what felt like an hour.

She figured that having been spared death that second time was by the mere fact of her background, being the low oxygen mountains before this hell of a new life. And even then! The third time death brushed her off was as her body started to finally fail only to be found just in time…

The Reaper must’ve been pleased with that result. He must have been laughing so hard it rattled his own bones.

She coughed the sparse laughs she could manage herself, which once more caught the Vatula’s attention with a worried glance.

Yeah… She really should be dead.
