//: [The Blind Swan]

[clov2zer] | [Jan. 12th, 2026]

Beside a tree lies the blind swan,

A tree that always had sheltered it,

But lost now its leaves— and perhaps— lost now, its life.

Yells the blind swan,

Tree, are you still there?

Believing that still present is its caretaker,

The blind swan clings

But no light would leak into its special darkness.

Then I shall wait

until you come back.

With its eyes already blinded,

Along with its innocent piety,

It had been disremembered— and it had disremembered—

But the blind swan would never leave.

It would never leave,

even as the Earth beneath

has already foreigned the roots

that it had been gardening within.
