Search first: the subject may already have a page under another spelling. If you are renaming an existing page, move it rather than creating a copy.
Choose a title and a layout
Enter the full title, including its archive prefix, in one of the boxes below. It opens an unsaved source draft with the layout filled in. Nothing is published until you save. If that title already exists, you will edit the existing page; do not replace it with a new subject.
Document
Character
The character layout includes the existing Character Panel. Leave fields blank when you do not know them.
Story
Report
Sermon or prayer
For a prayer, enter a title under CotRH:Prayers/ instead. Follow the existing subfolders when adding to a series or archive.
Put it in the right place
| Title starts with… | Use it for |
|---|---|
Solomonari: |
The lore keepers' articles, people, fables and records. Match the nearby pages' folder structure. |
CotRH: |
The Church of the Red Harvest's sermons and prayers. |
Stories/ |
Community story submissions. Do not use Stories/Accepted/ to imply acceptance.
|
User:Your name/sandbox |
Public practice or a personal working copy, if you have page-creation access. |
Gatekeep: |
Private drafts for members with Gatekeep access. Public layouts can be used here; private pages cannot be used as preloads. |
Article creation needs verified access or another role that grants it; Solomonari and CotRH also need their matching namespace access. Check access levels if the editor refuses creation.
Finish the draft
- Replace the comments and example text with your writing. Keep the Draft label.
- Add sources, creator credits and one suitable topic category. Remove unused empty sections.
- Preview, write an edit summary, and publish when ready. Saving a public Draft publishes it to readers; Draft is not a privacy setting.
- Add a link from the appropriate public index when the page is ready to be found. Use its talk page or Discord for review; approval is a separate editorial decision.
Prefer another page's layout? Copy its source from the page tools, then check its old names, categories and status labels before reusing it.
