Kalmaktama Empire

The Kalmaktama Empire is a unionized version of the Sarkic Cult, or the Nälkä, and multiple tribes that converted to Sarkicism. They are located in the Kiraak, and their main goal is to achieve Apotheosis, through the faithful follow of the Ozi̮rmok, the Grand Karcist, Akisa. They are named "Kalmaktama Empire," or Deathless Empire, because every time they die, their flesh is resurrected and shepherded back to life.

Overview

The Empire is built on the follow of Sarkicism, or the followers of the Grand Karcist Akisa. The Empire's main goal is to achieve Apotheosis, or Ikuun, essentially an awakened state best explained as godhood. They do this through faithfully following their Ozi̮rmok, and practicing augmentation and mutation of their own bodies, along with ritual sacrifice.

History

The Kalmaktama Empire was first created after the slave uprising in Daeva, where the Grand Karcist Akisa started converting a multitude of tribes to Sarkicism, which caused all the tribes to band together under the Sarkic Cult and form the Kalmaktama Empire. After this empire was formed, the Kalmaktama Empire was sent to Nerivia. However, two groups of Sarkic Cults were sent into Nerivia, from different points in time. The first, Akisa's, exact time is unknown, but Fekohar's was from the First Occult War. Fekohar had a militaristic group named the Deathless Legion, and the 2 groups got along and became one. Eventually, after a couple months on Nerivia, Fekohar realized that the Adytites needed a home. So, Fekohar gave his own life and became the 1st Kiraak of the Sarkites. The rest of the Deathless legion banded under Akisa and became the Kalmaktama Empire we know today.

Sects

The Kalmaktama Empire is split into sects, each with different purpose and responsibilities. Civil sects are more for support, meanwhile, Hunter's Black Lodge is a combatative sect split into 3 smaller sects, each with different purposes.

Civil Sects

  • Church of the Red Harvest - The Church of the Red Harvests, essentially just priests, are the leaders of rituals and important events. They host prayers, sacrifices, feedings, self-sacrifices, Z'alkun, essentially every ritual practiced in Sarkicism.
  • Vātula - The Vātula, commonly seen as just combat doctors, practice shepherding the flesh, autopsies, and examinations of other humans in order to determine ways to manipulate the body to make it more powerful, and immune to types of death. They also commonly carry medical roles, as doctors, such as healing combatants in battle.
  • Solomonari - The Solomonari are the archivists and poets of Sarkicism, writing stories, creating prayers, and archiving important events within Kalmaktama history.
  • Darkwater Lodge - Highly shrouded in mystery, the Darkwater Lodge watches the Kalmaktama Empire, deciding the fate of heretics that disobey the word of the Grand Karcist, Ozi̮rmok, Akisa.
  • Adytum's Wake - Adytum's Wake is a set of powerful and dedicated members of the Kalmaktama Empire, all dedicated towards the capital city of the Kalmaktama Empire, Black Adytum.
  • Abraxas Group - The Abraxas Group is a company dedicated towards the run of their services in a new, transformative, and innovative way, they are the spearhead of innovation and fashion, and generally only higher ranks of the Kalmaktama Empire are in the Abraxas Group.

Hunter's Black Lodge

  • Pale Trackers - The Pale Trackers are more close-range compared to other combatants, and they use weapons such as swords, spears, flesh-formed shotguns, etc. Anything that's close to short or medium range, they're specialized in.
  • Vultures of the All Seeing - The Vultures of the All Seeing have modified eyesight to be able to aim more reliably than a regular human, and act as recon and sniper, supporting the battle from afar.
  • Halkost - The Halkost are the elite of the Hunter's Black Lodge, usually used as guards, they are controlled by micro-pheromones released by Karcists and above, and they are known for their combat prowess.

Culture and Beliefs

The Kalmaktama Empire is formed off of Sarkicism, which is split into 5 different beliefs:

  • Apotheosis - The belief that someone can awaken, or achieve Ikuun, and achieve a state of godhood like the Ozi̮rmok.
  • Theophagy - The belief that someone can consume a god to obtain will, and work towards Apotheosis.
  • Will - The driving force of man.
  • Sacrifice - The belief that through giving up and sacrificing a part of yourself, you will receive in return, whether it be years later or seconds later.
  • Shepherding the Flesh - The belief that flesh is sacred and can be created and manipulated at will by those of will and power.

Relations

Each relation here is either Hostile or an Ally, all others are considered neutral. The full affiliation list can be seen here.

  • Daevites - The Daevites, having been the slave owners of the Grand Karcist Ion, are naturally enemies with the Kalmaktama Empire.
  • Anderson Robotics - Anderson Robotics, while being seen as enslaved, are wished to be liberated by the Kalmaktama Empire, but they reject this help in the name of profit, and as such are hostile.
  • Chaos Insurgency - The Chaos Insurgency, controlled by the Engine, is offensive to the Kalmaktama Empire and marked as a hostile.
  • Children of the Scarlet King - The Children of the Scarlet King, followers of the Scarlet King, the deity of the Daevites, are seen as an enemy.
  • Federal Bureau of Control - The Federal Bureau of Control assists the Kalmaktama Empire in events and is naturally seen as an ally.
  • The Serpent's Hand - The Serpent's Hand, on multiple occasions, has helped the Kalmaktama Empire and is seen as an ally.
  • Imperial Japanese Army - The Imperial Japanese Army is an ally of the Kalmaktama Empire, and they assist each other.
  • Shark Punching Center - Shark Punching Center, which literally just punches sharks, but for some odd reasons see the Nälkans as "Sharkics", is hostile to the Kalmaktama Empire.
  • Mekhanites - The Mekhanites, or the followers of the Church of the Broken God, are viewed as biblical enemies by the Kalmaktama Empire.
  • Global Occult Coalition - The Global Occult Coalition, or GOC, has been known to take the side of the Nälkäns on numerous occasions, however; due to their isolationist values, they are officially neutral.

Symbols

A majority of the symbolism in the Empire stems from organic life, mainly that of flesh and bone. some other symbols seen commonly throughout the empire include the following:

  • Seal of Ion - A small icon depicting jagged lines swirling in a circle, intersected with a jagged cross. these are stamped on letters that Ozi̮rmok has blessed this document himself. Anything with this seal should be taken as his word.
  • Sarkic Banner - These banners are flown wherever we set up camp, or hold parades outside of a Kiraak. It depicts the White Worm, surrounded by the various heraldry of Sarkicism.
  • Seal of the Klavigars - Each Klavigar; Lovataar, Saarn, Nadox, Orok, has a unique seal to show their relation/approval of something.
  • Pilesaran - While technically a language, pilesaran can be used to show symbolism. For example, someone can be tattooed with Pilesaran to show something such as, "I am an agent of the SCP Foundation, I fuck pigs." or "I am a person who believes that Grand Karcist Ion will ascend." Both of which are showcases of it being used to mark someone's affiliation.

Legacy

The Kalmaktama Empire is a powerful faction in Nerio. Some may see us as a literal tumor on the land, while others may simply tolerate us. In the end, they're all oblivious to the freedom that we offer them, and even spurn it at times. Eventually, they will all come to see the truth of our ways. For now, we must simply forgive their ignorance and show those who are willing to learn the ways.
