The wiki's configured default text license is Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0). The linked license governs reuse; this page is a brief guide.

Reusing text

Under CC BY-SA 3.0, licensed material can be copied and adapted, including commercially, subject to the license conditions. Give appropriate credit, link the license and identify changes. Adaptations must use the same license. Do not impose additional legal or technical restrictions on the licensed freedoms.

A page's revision history records its wiki contributors and can help provide attribution. Preserve source credits for material brought in from elsewhere. A wiki label cannot grant rights that its contributors do not hold.

Uploaded files and external material

Check each file's description for its source, creator and recorded license. A file may use a different license from the site's default text license. For example, a CC BY-SA 4.0 file remains subject to that file's license; the wiki's default does not replace it.

Unknown copyright does not establish permission to reuse a file. A public-domain claim needs a recorded basis. Uncertain records are collected in Category:Files needing copyright review; see Help:File copyright for review steps.

Licenses may not cover every applicable right, such as privacy, publicity or trademarks. Consult the linked license and the original source for the terms applicable to your intended use.
