Unknown Sarkic Sub-Sects

Source: https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Sarkicism  (proper content warnings for anything people would see as triggering have been placed before the mention of the sub-sects’ name)

This article is made to bring light to the sub-sects from both the Neo and Proto sects of the wider Sarkic Cults organization that may have fallen under the radar by even the most knowledgeable of our lore. Some of the more well-known sub-sects will be mentioned near the bottom of each chunk as those sub-sects are well-known and have a lot of information from both the SCP Wiki and our library regularly available to the wider organization.

As said above, this article will be separated into two separate chunks as there are a lot of sub-sects that have been forgotten or missed by a lot of Sarkic lore keepers and viewers, the first chunk will focus on the Proto sect and will end with the Neo sect. Each chunk will be put into a bulleted  list, as to make the information provided about these forgotten sects as clear as humanly possible.  This list will also include their status’ as well as some of them, like the first one on the Proto sect chunk, was completely eradicated by outside forces.

The Proto Sect:

  • The Church of the Scorched Earth/Church of Oastrikyo: A proto-sarkic organization that originated from Siberia in the Amur region before being driven to Arlingpool, America. Their purpose is relatively unknown and they were completely eradicated by the US Military in the early 1950’s.
  • The Vaśńa: A denomination within the Proto-Sarkic sect who are known to have an intense hatred for members of the Neo branch due to their “gluttonous' ' nature. They are located within Scandinavia and their customs aren’t really known outside of their hatred of members of the Neo sect, though Dr. Matthieu Desmarasis has been studying this sect for a while, their current status isn’t known.
  • The Divoši/Sin-Eater’s Church: A secretive sub-sect within the larger Proto sect based in Europe, this sub-sect is led by Karcist Nakiakken and they follow Ion’s idea of justice or “jaka ''. They do this by finding and then turning criminals who got away with their crimes into flesh abominations as a form of punishment, not even looking remotely human by the time they’re done. Their status is unknown.
  • (content warning, sensitive topics) La Famille Natau/The Church of the Eternal Mother: A small sub-sect within the Proto sect that are currently in the Louisiana bayou. This group is just as, if not more, reclusive than some of the other proto sects and follow a strange set of rituals in their small area in the bayou, this group is known by the foundation doctors for their odd spike in pregnancies. These pregnancies usually result in stillbirths and are then used to feed a Kiraak/Living Temple. The members of this sect are known as “Manmas Natau” and their status is unknown in the modern day, though foundation doctor Isabelle Beaumont attempted to learn more about them but ended up accidentally killing the female member they captured before they could learn anything.
  • The Adytite Republic of Polynesia: Made of some of the original members of the old Sarkic Empire (mostly their descendants), they were outcasted to Southeastern Polynesia when the Empire was still around and strong for unknown reasons, but ended up creating a small state on the roughly 300ish islands in the region during the generations they spent in exile.  The island population is multi-racial, including Japanese and other ethnicities, this island state also follows a relatively modern way of life compared to other Proto-Sarkic owned regions as they have embraced some modern technology and formed a functioning judiciary system.

The buildings in the urban areas of this state consist of almost primarily biological material and their economy is propped up by agriculture, tobacco farms, and manufactured items. They also permit freedom of religion despite Sarkicism being the main religion of the region and some religious minorities being persecuted by them. Their government is very similar to that of Modern America, having pretty much the same branches of government they have (executive, legislative, and judiciary) but being unique in the sense they have a Senate and a council primarily made of up appointed Karcists within their society. Their president/leader is also similar to America’s in a sense because they are elected by the people through voting (though it isn’t known if everyone can vote or only a certain group within their society can vote). The technology they do absorb into their primarily Proto-Sarkic society is usually combined with bio-organic ones, making them really one of the only Proto groups that don’t have a complete aversion to tech or an outright hostile reaction when in the presence of technology. Their current status is unknown.

  • Fleshspeakers/Palancanacatl-tlatlatlauhtiani: A relatively small group within the wider Ur-Sarkicism group who became powerful for their time in old Mexico (primarily in the Michoacán and Guanajuato states), this was around 1100 CE. They followed a different spin on Proto-Sarkicism, believing Ion was defeated and then later consumed by a figure known as “Yalekatta” (who is also believed to be Yaldaboth). Despite their strengths, they were later completely eradicated by the Aztec Empire.
  • The Seŭlga: A group of Sarkites within the Korean Peninsula who survived the collapse of the Sarkic Empire and lived relatively poorly before their fragmentation in the modern-day. Their Sarkic beliefs were mixed with Korean Buddhism, and they also have a long history of oppression within the Peninsula.
  • The Freemen: What is known to the foundation as “GOI-691-ARC”, this is a rogue sub-sect who broke off from the Sarkic Empire during their peak and took up a lifestyle of isolation due to differing opinions over the efficacies of taking over and subjugating the areas surrounding the Empire. Unlike other sects, this sect sought to bring peace between the Sarkic Empire and the Mekhanite Empire but were eventually eradicated trying to achieve this goal.
  • Ɨal: This isolated sub-sect resides within Yukon-Koyukuk, Alaska in the Boreal Forest and Brooks Range. They originally resided in the Republic of Sakha after the Russians colonized the region, which forced them to migrate. They speak a yet to be understood dialect of Yakut (a language from Sakha and spoken by 450,000 natives in the region), their population is low as it sits between 170 and 200 people. Their society is based around the old hunter-gather ways of early man and don’t have any religious leaders or shamen, instead relying on educators who teach them the Sarkic belief system. This organization is so isolated that the foundation only found out about their culture by a member of the community who left to see the wider world, Kuobach.

Now moving into the Neo-Sect, for those who don’t know, the Neo sect of the wider Sarkic Cults is the new modern wave of Sarkicism that follow a belief in the sacrifice of the many for the benefit of oneself, being referred to as gluttonous for power by sects within the Proto branch like the aforementioned Vaśńa in the Proto chunk. They also believe that Ion was close to achieving apotheosis but ultimately failed while trying to achieve it, which stands in stark contrast to the Proto sect who believes Ion achieved apotheosis and sacrificing yourself for the many will bring prosperity. This chunk, like the Proto one, will include a basic explanation of the sub-sect and will also contain their current status if listed.

  • (content warning, mention of slavery) The Darkwater Lodge: An order within Neo-Sarkicism who’s roots lie deep in Africa, their ancestors being brought to America as slaves. Their origin lies with the Akan people from Ghana and mostly consist of two families, the Sabatier and the Duvernay. Their early history is paved in blood and bone, participating and most likely starting an extremely violent slave uprising shortly after their arrival in America to be used as cheap labor and now leading a somewhat  peaceful life-style under Karcist Namen da ke Tstatsa. This sect is relatively odd compared to the others within the Neo sect as they hold friendly relations with The Church of the Broken God. They practice flesh rituals which are referred to as “Shepherding of the flesh” or “Nsämanf'tsatsa” and combine their Sarkic practices with modern West African religions. Current status is unknown but we can assume they’re still around.
  • The Esoteric Church of the Divine Host: A relatively small group of occultists from the Moscow and St. Petersberg nobility who deny any and all connections to the wider Sarkic community despite showing signs that there is a connection between their rituals and beliefs and the Sarkic faith. They performed their rituals in secret and employed the assistance of the Tsarist secret police to ensure nobody finds out and prosecutes them over it. This was until two individuals named Grigori Rasputin and Tsarina Alexandra found out what they were doing and began to prosecute and presumably execute their ranks on a massive scale, this would’ve lead to their complete eradication but the few members who stayed in the shadows underwent a ritual to transform themselves into sentient buildings to survive, luring people inside to consume and sustain their new forms. The foundation dubbed them “SCP-83184” and it is unknown if they’re still alive in containment or have been terminated by them in some way.
  • House Kurinuka: A Japanese-Canadian group that currently resides within the borders of Vancouver, Canada originally founded by Japanese Immigrants between 1877 and 1928. Like many people of Japanese origin during the time of the Second World War, they faced prejudice as the wider public were convinced that they and the many others of Japanese ancestry in the west could be spies for the Japanese Emperor. They follow a nihilistic and atheistic form of philosophy and say that they are the successors of Klavigar Saarn, The Coiled Blade. They also believe that Yaldaboth and her Archons as powerless organisms, their status is also unknown.
  • (content warning, mention of illegal drug trade) The Weilstedt: A small neo-sarkic group that combines the beliefs of Judaism with Sarkicism and profit off of the trade of illegal medications. They reside in a different dimension/amonolous area  known as “BackDoor SoHo”. Their status is unknown.
  • Société de la Fleur Sanglante/Society of the Bloody Flower: A group of Neo-Sarkites under the leadership of Karcist Lucien Dutoit, their culture and beliefs are unknown but they were originally located in France before being driven to Portugal for unknown reasons. Their status is just as unknown as the sub-sect itself.
  • Geomeunpi Aideul/Children of the Black Blood: A Neo-Sarkic organization stationed in South Korea that partakes in an odd ritual where the parents of a newborn child imbed knowledge into the newborn. Outside of this, their culture is relatively unknown, on the societal spectrum however, they are said to have ties to local criminal organizations and the Kkangpae families in the region their group resides in. They are also led by Karcist Yongsun Ban, their status is unknown.
  • The Sinew Brotherhood: Also known as GOI-0537 by the foundation, they are a Sarkic group that resides within the borders of Australia and have little to no information about them besides their involvement in the immortality of SCP-3477-14 and having a deep hatred of the Cogwheel Orthodox Church within the larger modern Mekhanite religion. Their status is unknown.
  • (content warning, mention of incest) Fraternity of Skin: A neo-sarkic group that Klavigar Saarn referred to as “disgusting heretics”.  They are located within England and are believed to have worshipped or still worship Yaldaboth and partake in incest, most likely leading to the current members being born with minor or serious physical or mental defects, though we do not known as information on this Neo sub-sect is very limited. Their status is unknown.
  • Abraxas Group: A quote “multinational conglomerate” of various Neo-Sarkic groups who makes money off of biotechnology, cosmetics, development of  various different weapons, finances, and the pharmaceutical industry. They also hold a lot of top end real estate in different parts of Hungry, Romania, and New England. Instead of being led by a Karcist, they are led by Neo-Sarkic Aristocrats. Their status is unknown though we could assume they’re still around.
  • Sisterhood of the First Flesh: A primarily female Neo-Sarkic organization that operated within Three Polands before their presumed eradication by the Unusual Incidents Unit (UIU) in the 80’s.

This information is as accurate as it can be due to very limited resources, I hope it was enough to expand your knowledge on these unknown or forgotten sub-sects within the wider Sarkic community. The echoes of the flesh have not been included as the wider community on discord has a general idea of what they did and will be discussed in a later article (either by me or someone else within the Vatula's ranks). The choir of silence (roblox group) most likely also has undocumented or completely forgotten sub-sects but I could not find anything on them so I focused on the two main sects of the SC instead. This article also shows the reach of both sects, being more spread out than most people in the community think, which makes sense as members were exiled to different parts of the world and territories were conquered and settled by Sarkites during the reign of the old Empire.
