Klavigar Orok (Pale Tracker, The Horned Beast, The Brute Lord) is one of the High Karcists of Ion and the patron of war in the Sarkic Cults. He is revered for the strength and resilience attributed to him, believed to grant immense power and vigour to his followers. His current state is comatose, being held in a massive, megalithic underground temple, as stated in SCP‑2408, primarily by the post‑Soviet criminal organization “Hunter’s Black Lodge,” operating in post‑Soviet states.
Though conflicted, Orok was born nearly four thousand years ago as the chief of the “Tribe of the Bear,” achieving extreme influence over the local area due to his military and political brilliance. He was later captured and enslaved by the Daevite Matriarch Aśvighoṣa and brought to the city of Jel. Another version tells of Orok being initially born in Jel as a slave, already under Daevite rule. However, both narratives follow a similar continuation from this point. Orok became a gladiator in the city of Jel, fighting many foes and proving to be an immensely powerful warrior, capable of overpowering and defeating any adversary he might be put against. In light of that, Matriarch Aśvighoṣa made Orok her guardian. During this period of life, Orok had no thoughts of rebellion, knowing he would not succeed, and thus remained in a state of constant depression, emotionally broken by the reality of his slavery.
After serving for decades under Matriarch Aśvighoṣa, a massive rebellion eventually arose across the empire—the rebellion of the Grand Karcist Ion. At an unknown point in time, Ion’s forces captured the town of Jel, Ion himself being present during the battle. After the occupation, Ion presented an ultimatum to Matriarch Aśvighoṣa: either she aids in the spread of Sarkicism and supports the revolt, or she shall be executed. Matriarch Aśvighoṣa, infuriated, ordered Orok—who was present at the negotiations—to kill the Grand Karcist. Yet Orok hesitated to execute the command. A lifetime of slavery and servitude to a malevolent master caused an internal conflict within him, and seeing Ion’s ideals and success, Orok struck Matriarch Aśvighoṣa with such might that she turned to ash in the same moment. After this incident, Orok joined Ion’s forces and became a disciple of Ion, assisting in the spread of Sarkicism and the revolt against the Daevite Empire.
After achieving victory over the Daevite Empire, the Nalka began spreading the ways of Sarkicism throughout the world, soon meeting opposition in the form of the Mekhanite Empire. The conflict escalated quickly and transformed into a global one, known as the “First Occult War.” During the war, Orok once again proved himself to be an extremely powerful warrior and commander. Overpowering dozens of Mekhanites and slaughtering many enemies in his wake, he was eventually defeated after the culmination of the war, when Ion was banished from the material realm. Thus, being in a comatose state, the followers of Sarkicism kept Orok’s location hidden for centuries, the last and permanent place of Orok’s stay being SCP‑2408.
